Questions

What is a Tabata workout?

Eight rounds of 20 seconds of hard work and 10 seconds of rest, about four minutes in total. The format comes from a 1996 study led by Izumi Tabata.

What does EMOM mean?

Every minute on the minute: you start a set of reps at the top of each minute and rest for what is left of it. The timer beeps at every new minute.

Will I hear the beeps in another tab?

Yes. The beeps are scheduled ahead, so they play on time in a background tab. Phones may pause the page when the screen locks, so the timer asks the browser to keep the screen on while it runs.

Can I save my own intervals?

Yes. Choose Custom, set the work, rest, rounds and sets, then type a name and press Save. Saved presets stay in this browser.
