Questions
What is a good reaction time?
Most people average between 200 and 300 ms on a visual test like this one. Anything under 200 ms is very fast.
Does my monitor or mouse affect the result?
Yes. The refresh rate of your screen and the delay of your mouse or touchscreen are added to the measured time. A 60 Hz screen alone can add up to about 17 ms.
Why does my time change on every attempt?
The wait before orange is random and your attention shifts from moment to moment, so single attempts vary. The average of 5 attempts is the more reliable number.
Is there a difference between phone and computer?
Usually, yes. Touchscreens tend to add more delay than a wired mouse, so the same person often scores a little slower on a phone.
