How do I split a group into random teams?
Type the names one per line, choose the number of teams or the number of people per team and press Make teams. Team sizes differ by at most one.
How does balancing by skill work?
Add a level such as #3 after a name and switch on Balance by skill. Stronger players are spread across the teams so the totals end up close; names without a level count as average.
Is it really random?
Yes. The names are shuffled with your browser's cryptographic random number generator before they are placed in teams.
Can I pick a random name instead?
Yes. Choose Pick names, set how many to pick and press Pick. The same name is never picked twice in one draw.
