Questions

How long does it take to learn touch typing?

With 15 to 20 minutes of practice a day, most people learn every key in a few weeks. Getting back to your old speed without looking usually takes one to two months.

Where should my fingers rest?

Put your index fingers on F and J, the keys with small bumps, and the other fingers on the keys next to them. Your thumbs rest on the space bar.

Should I look at the keyboard?

Try not to. Watch the screen, where the next key and finger are shown, and slow down until you make few mistakes. Speed follows once the movements become automatic.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Completed lessons are saved in this browser, separately for each keyboard layout. A lesson counts as complete at 90% accuracy or better.
