Questions
What is the difference between 60 Hz and 120 Hz?
A 120 Hz screen shows twice as many frames per second as a 60 Hz screen, so scrolling and moving objects look smoother and sharper.
Why does the test show 60 Hz on my 120 Hz screen?
High refresh may be turned off in your display settings, or a battery saver may be limiting it. On iPhone, Safari keeps web pages near 60 frames per second by default.
Does the browser limit the refresh rate?
Browsers draw pages at your display's refresh rate, but they slow down in background tabs, in battery saving modes and when the computer is busy. Close heavy tabs and measure again.
How do I change my monitor's refresh rate?
On Windows, open Settings, System, Display, Advanced display and choose a refresh rate. On a Mac, open System Settings, Displays and pick one under Refresh rate.
