What is the difference between a dead pixel and a stuck pixel?
A dead pixel gets no power and stays black on every color. A stuck pixel stays lit in one color, often red, green or blue, and is easiest to spot on black.
Can a stuck pixel be fixed?
Sometimes. Drag the pixel fixer over it and let it run for 10 to 20 minutes. Dead pixels usually stay dead.
How do I check a phone screen?
Turn the brightness up, tap Start full screen and tap through the colors. Look at each color closely, especially near the edges.
Are dead pixels covered by warranty?
It depends on the manufacturer. Many replace a screen only above a set number of faulty pixels and some promise no bright pixels at all, so check the pixel policy for your model.
