Organize PDF

Drop a PDF here

One PDF file. Files stay on this device.

Organize PDF shows the pages of a single PDF as small thumbnails and lets you work on them. You can drag pages into a new order, rotate them, delete them, duplicate them or insert blank pages. The result downloads as one PDF in the order you set.

It suits scanned documents with a page upside down or sideways, forms scanned in the wrong order, anyone who wants to drop unneeded pages, and anyone who needs a blank page inserted for double-sided printing. The file is processed in your browser and does not leave your device.

How to use

  1. Drop the PDF in the area or open it with Choose PDF. One file is open at a time; use Replace to switch to another.
  2. Click pages to select them. Shift-click selects several, Select all marks every page, and Select none clears the selection.
  3. With pages selected, use Rotate left, Rotate right, Duplicate, Delete, Move earlier and Move later. Dragging a page to its new place works too. The Blank page button adds an empty page after the selected one, or at the end if nothing is selected.
  4. If something went wrong, Undo steps back one change at a time. Reset puts the file back to how it was when you opened it.
  5. When you are happy, press Download and the edited PDF is saved to your device. At least one page has to stay, so the last page can't be deleted.

When it helps

When you scan documents with a phone or scanner, some pages often end up sideways or out of order. Here you fix them by looking at the pages, then send one clean file by email. If you only want to send certain pages of a contract, delete the ones you don't need.

For a document you will print on both sides, a blank page between sections helps when you want each section to start on a right-hand page. If you need several copies of the same page, Duplicate does it.

Tips

  • There are keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl or Cmd with Z undoes, Ctrl with A selects all, Delete and Backspace remove the selected pages, R rotates right and Shift with R rotates left.
  • Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable. Bookmarks and links between pages are dropped in the new file.
  • Locked or protected PDFs can't be edited here. Remove the protection in the app that made the file and try again.
  • Files over 200 MB can be slow or run out of memory. For a file like that, extract the section you need first.
  • Opening a new file resets the page list and the undo history, so download your current work first if you need it.

Questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. The PDF is opened and edited in your browser and never leaves your device.

How do I change the order of pages?

Drag a page to its new place. You can also select pages and use Move earlier and Move later, which work with the keyboard too.

Can I add a blank page?

Yes. Select a page and press Blank page to add one after it, or press it with nothing selected to add one at the end.

Does organizing change the quality or the text?

No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality, but bookmarks and links between pages are dropped.
